We were contacted by a Search and Rescue organization in Maine as they were having trouble utilizing Prusa-style face shields while wearing helmets during rescue operations. We designed for them a face shield mount from scratch that utilizes the same plastic shield that the Prusa designed headbands use but can be attached to any helmet with a headlamp mount. In the future we’ll be working on a version that allows the shield to be flipped up over the helmet. It definitely needs supports when printing and if you plan on storing it in a hot vehicle you should print using PETG filament.
